He holds degrees in Medicine and Medical Management from the Medical University of Sofia.
Dr. Genov practices reconstructive, aesthetic, and plastic surgery in some of the most prestigious hospitals in Bulgaria and internationally.
He is the only Bulgarian to have specialized and worked at Akademikliniken in Stockholm, Sweden — the largest private clinic in Northern Europe — under the mentorship of world-renowned Professor Per Hedén. Dr. Genov’s skills and talent have also been highly recognized at Villa Bella Clinics in Italy, where he worked under Professor Giovanni Botti, long-time president of the Italian Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, as well as at the St. Andrews Center for Plastic Surgery and Burns – Broomfield Hospital, UK, as part of a team of some of the most distinguished and respected consultants in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Genov has also proven his professionalism in some of Bulgaria’s leading hospitals, including Alexandrovska University Hospital and Pirogov University Emergency Hospital. In the past, he has been actively involved, along with his colleagues, in the creation and development of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Uni Hospital, Panagyurishte. Since the beginning of 2017, Dr. Genov has been conducting consultations and surgeries at the Dr. Nikolay Georgiev Medical Center for Plastic Surgery.
